 Mission Mission

We strengthen, equip and enable families to fulfill their God-given purpose by providing information and tools for training children and maturing young adults.

We want what is best and right for your family, as well as for ours.

The Smiths

We are Bill and Derri Smith and family.

We live in the Nashville, Tennessee area. Before that, we lived six years in Nottingham, England and Vienna, Austria. From there, we helped refugees and aided persecuted Christians in communist-era Eastern Europe.

Our articles on communication and child training appear in various print and online publications.

Derri was a public school teacher before making homeschooling two daughters her primary 20-year pursuit. She previously published BookAngles, a free online service offering book reviews with a traditional family-values angle. In 2008 she founded an organization that annually provides comprehensive care to over 100 survivors of human trafficking (as of 2016). She was featured at TedX Nashville.

Bill has written for newspapers, large corporations, software companies and non-profit organizations. His articles appear in Grants & Foundations Review, Homeschool Enrichment Magazine, online and in other publications. Bill and Derri also co-author articles from time to time. Bill was certified a Senior Professional in Human Resources, served as national Board Director and President of Grant Professionals Association and has been a full time writer since 1998. His daily pursuit now is writing to support hunger relief efforts.

Now grown, Bethany and Amy published a newsletter to friends and family in younger years, called Home Sweet Home - A Journal for Girls. They won top awards in their age categories for writing and photography. Now Bethany teaches in Denver, and Amy pursues a doctoral degree.

In fact, the whole Smith family loves to write, and they frequently peck away, side-by-side, on their respective computers. When children were home, mealtimes often found them discussing the origin of a word or enveloped in yet another pun-athon. All with the best character, of course ; )
